Privacy Policy

We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run a transparent donation experiment.

What we collect

• A display name or alias — only if you choose to provide one for the public backer wall. You may donate anonymously instead.
• Payment confirmation data from Stripe (e.g. amount, a transaction ID). We do not receive or store your full card number — Stripe handles card data directly.
• Basic technical data (e.g. IP address) used transiently for security and rate-limiting.
• If you use the contact form, the name, email and message you send us.

What we do NOT collect

We do not store card numbers, and we do not sell or rent your data to anyone.

How we use it

• To display the public backer wall (only the name/alias you chose, or "Anonymous").
• To show an honest, real running total of donations.
• To protect the Site from fraud and abuse, and to reply to your messages.

Third parties

Payments: Stripe (see Stripe's privacy policy). Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts and QR codes are generated via api.qrserver.com — these services may receive your IP address. Crypto donations are made directly to public wallet addresses on their respective networks.

Your rights

You may request that your name be removed from the public wall, or ask what data we hold, by emailing [email protected]. Where GDPR applies, you have rights of access, correction, and erasure.
